Live Your Dream With Passion by Lisa

Hi AA friends!

Lisa today to share with you my last mixed media card, playing with AA Stencil, Colorations sprays and Velvet paints!

To start I cutted a piece of watercolor paper, I chose AA Stencil Lotus and I used it with a heavy gel for a thick texture.
After I used some text stamps with archival black ink.

With a brush and a little bit of water I used some Colorations sprays across my card until I was happy with the blend of colours.

After that I used Tuxedo Velvet Paint to made some ink splatters and I built my focal point with some butterflies cutted from scrapboook papers and others that I stamped on watercolor paper.

Here some close ups photos:

I used these products from the shop:

Tuxedo Velvet

Siesta Key Colorations Spray

Glorious Colorations Spray

Barbie Colorations Spray

Lotus Stencil 6×9

Cotton Velvet

“Winter Joy” Mixed-Media Layout

Hey everyone! Can you believe that it’s the end of the year already!? Suzanne here today to share with you a very easy and simple mixed media layout that I’ve created using Minx Shimmering Ink and Shine paint!

I begin my layout by adding a diluted mixture of Minx Ink in “Indulgence” and water (to lighten the color) using the “smoosh” technique; it really is the easiest way to jump start any layout with color!

While the ink was still wet, I added Minx Shimmering Ink in “Gold Dust.” This adds an awesome gold shimmer to the background-I actually want to put it on everything!

Check out that bling!

While the background is drying, I added color to paper die-cuts using Shine paint in “Kelly Green.” Because I didn’t necessarily want the full opacity of the paint, on a non-stick surface, I diluted the paint with water and mixed it well. I very loosely painted and dipped the pine bough die-cuts into the mixture until I was satisfied with coverage; I dried the die-cuts with a heating tool and added Minx Ink in Gold Dust on top to add even more shimmer!

Now that everything is completely dry, all that’s left to do is to assemble the layout. Here are some close-ups.

Art Anthology Supplies:
Shine “Kelly Green”
Minx Shimmering Inks “Gold Dust”

Other Supplies:
Cardstock die-cuts

patterned paper

Ombre Watercolor Background Featuring Colorations!

Hey everyone!  Suzanne here today to share with you a super quick and easy scrapbook layout featuring an ombre background that I’ve created using just one Colorations Spray!   It doesn’t take a ton of supplies to create “drama” and impact on a page.

I began the layout with a piece of watecolor paper, a paintbrush,  a small amount of water, and Colorations Spray in Barbie.  I wanted to apply color-beginning with the lightest-in an ombre pattern.  I spritzed a non-stick mat with Barbie Colorations Spray, wet a paintbrush, and simply dipped the wet brush into the spray.

I didn’t pay much attention to precision only to apply the colors in a graduated fashion; the more water I applied-the lighter the color.  I made sure to blend as I go darker in color.  Once I’m happy with the color, I take the wet paint brush and create splatters.  I let the background dry and that’s it!!

Here are some close-ups.
