Spring frame

Hello Art Anthology fans. It’s Anna here with my first project created with AA goodies.

It’s almost spring outside my window and I am so tired of grey, short, winter days. I need sun, colors and warmth. I can’t wait to see trees in bloom and smell the scent of lilacs and cherries.

I am in the mood for fresh colors and flowers so I created this home decor for my kitchen. It’s a floral frame created with some old canvas, branch brought from one of our walks and some paper flowers. And, of course, Art Anthology mediums.

I decided to use fresh colors that associate with spring: pink, yellow and light green.

I used some old canvas from my previous, unsuccessful project. Tha canvas was destroyes but I still was able to use the wooden frame. First, I coverd the wood with a gesso to protect it and create a base for the mediums, then I played with colors and painted the frame.

I recorded a video so You can check my creative process and here are some yummy details:

I was so thrilled to do a LIVE UStream Show a few weeks ago! We had so much fun chatting, making art and making new friends. What a perfect way to spend a Friday night.

I promised during the show that I would finish the canvas.
I had a blast adding more layers of paint, color and sprays.
I used brushes and got crazy by sticking my fingers into the paints and smearing them on the canvas.
Won’t you try some Art Anthology?! Now…GO MAKE SOME ART!

Hi Art Anthology fans,

It is so much fun to make a blogpost again!
This week I show you an altered storage case.
The case is made out of wood which I love to work on.

The list with materials is in the video.

I hope the video contained new techniques and ideas for you all?!

Also a little video about me, my craft room and my inspiration.
(Sorry, my English is not so good, my video is a little bumpy, my parrot is screaming but it is my first video and I show you my craft room. It’s me!)

Use some sunny colors and create some nice art!
Enjoy your day 😉
