Shabby Altered Box

Hello crafters !

Valerie here, back with a new mixed media project !

Soft colors of Spring, butterflies and flowers were my inspiration for today… I’m came up with this shabby altered box :

I use two Colorations sprays on this box, Avocado and Wild Orchid, and in two ways, by spraying (box and embellishments) and by painting (the cameo and the frame).

Here another close-up on the clay frame and cameo, painted with the Colorations sprays with a brush…

It’s too cold and gloomy outside… I needed warm colors so I choose some into my Art anthology stash and put them on a canvas !

Some crackle paste and three Colorations sprays with a stencil to create this canvas ! You will find the list with links of Art Anthology products at the end of this post.

Love the effect of Colorations sprays sinking into the crackles !

I added some butterflies because Art makes my heart flutters…

Steampunk heart canvas

Hello !

Valerie here with a new mixed media project using AA paints, inks and stencil ! I called it “La fabrique a bonheur” (hapiness manufacture).

Layering the different mediums was the key to obtain this rusty look. I used two Velvet in Tango and Portobello, and three Colorations sprays, in Juicy, French Toast and Siesta Key.

Texture is created with special powder and heat, dimension by layering cardboard gears and grunge board strips.

You can watch the complete tutorial on the Art Anthology YouTube channel, as well as other tutorials…

Thank you for reading this post today. See you next month for another tutorial…

Here is the list of AA products to create this canvas :

Fairy door scene tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends !

Irit is here and I welcome to my second December post for Art Anthology.

irit_sig

This time I made a totally different project: altered Fairy door  chipboard set from Tando Creative.

img_7341

I used chipboards and Art Anthology products only with the small add- on of Makin’s Clay molded fairies added to the finished project.

As always I made a small tutorial for you. I even made my own paint tool from the old (or new) tooth brush.

img_7340

Each chipboard piece was painted in the different way to get a different effect. There are stone effect, wood effect, painted  leaves and a mushroom, ” metal” hinges and pastel fairies. And each effect was made just with Art Anthology paints and sprays.

Here is a piece of the project with ” metal” hinges, painted fairy, 3d mushroom and some leaves. You can also see the wooden door and it really looks like an old, peeled wood.

img_7339

Here is another look at the fairy, leaves, wood and stone effect that was made with paints only.

It was so much fun to make this project and to see the final result!

And as always- here is a full supply list :

Thanks for visiting own blog and I really hope that you like my  Fairy project.

Canvas “Awesome” by Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It’s my turn again to inspire You with Art Atnology based project.  This time I created a boyish canvas with my cute nephew.

DSC_1700 DSC_1704

I played with my favourite colors to create background. I used some dimmensional paints like Velvets and Sorbets and I added a lot of water to use them like a watercolors.

DSC_1717

I love how versatile those paints are. I can create textures with them, paint like a painter, color with them and use them with stencils.

DSC_1719

I added few boyish embellishments and project was ready in less than an hour (not counting drying all the layers and media).

DSC_1731

Really fun and simple project to do and my sister will be happy to have (another) picture of her son framed 😀

There is also a video tutorial, as always. I hope You will enjoy watching it.

This post is also a little bit sad because it’s my last post for Art Anthology. It was wonderful six months packed with amazing products, talented team and great boss. Thank You Stayce for having me in this team. My adventure with Art Anthology DT is coming to an end but it’s definetelly not the end of my adventure with Art Anthology great products.

Thank You for stopping by and I hope we will meet somewhere on line from time to time.

Play with pattern by Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It’s Anna here. Today I want to show You layout with handmade pattern paper. I was inspired by one of the Bellaboulevard papers from “She blooms” collection and I thought: why not to make a similar paper by my own?

DSC_1578 DSC_1583

It was simple, black and white graphic design with polka dots. I just took white 12*12 cardstock, brush and black Velvet paint “Tuxedo” and painted dots. I waneted them to look like hand painted so didn’t measure anything. It was fast and easy job.

DSC_1477

I also painted flowers cutted with Cameo. Pink color looks very nice on this graphic black and white background.

As always, I have a process video for You. I hope You will be isnpired to create Your own patterned papers. You can paint stripes, dots, triangles.

Thank You for stopping by and see You in two weeks.

Love rules here by Anna Komenda

Hello Art Anthology fans. It’s Anna here today. I would like to show You a pendant created for my daughter’s room. She is only seven right now but she starts to have her own opinions about everything. She also usually disagree with the sentence that I rule the house 😀 Because I do, right?

That’s why I created this pendant with inscription “Love rules here”. Because it’s the most important thing to remember everyday – that all I do, even if she don’t like it, I do because I love her very much. And I really hope that everytime when she will feel angry of me, she will look at this sign and cheer up a little.

DSC_0782 DSC_0789

I used a variety of AA products on this pendant – paints and mists. I also added few Melissa Frances wooden elements.

DSC_0802

DSC_0807

I really like the combination of turquise and purple and I highlighted it by adding butterflies in this colors.

I have a video for You with my creative process.

Thank You for stopping by and see You soon.

Layout “Sky is the limit” by Anna Komenda

Hello AA fans. It’s Anna here with some summer inspiration. I played with Colorations Sprays and I created a layout. I was inspired by picture I took during our visit at my parent’s house. They live in the countryside and the sky often looks fabulous there. So crisp and blue till the green horizon.

DSC_9130 DSC_9139

As I mentioned, I played with Colorations Sprays. I sprayed the background with three shades of blue using circle as a stencil.

DSC_9110

I left the white circle in the middle of the blue circles but I also wanted to add white clouds. I didn/t have a proper stencil so I created one by myself. I used texture paste to create the clouds.

DSC_9117

I added a pinch of yellow and I created three colors palette: white, blue and yellow as a sun.

DSC_9125

The title just jumped into my head. I feel free and wild when I look at the sky and distant horizon. It gives my such a great power to deal with the daily routine.

DSC_9123

I also created a process video for You.

Thank You for stopping by and see You in two weeks 🙂
