Today is full of possibilities by Lisa

Hi friends! Lisa here today to show you my last art journal pages, made with beautiful Velvet paints & Colorations sprays by Art Anthology! This is my last post with AA design team, I felt very honored to be part of it in these six months and I thank those who believed in me and gave me this fabulous opportunity! I hope to have inspired you with my projects in these months, and this is another one just for you!

To start I brushed white gesso, then modelling paste through AA stencil and I let it dry.

After that I used Colorations sprays (Siesta Key, Plush and Glorious) on my background, with a brush and a little bit of water to blend the colors.

Then I used some stamps with archival inks.

So I glued some paper embellishments and I made splatters with Velvet Paint (DayGlow, Tuxedo and Cotton)

Here some close ups photos:

I used these products for my project:

Mixed Media Album Cover by Farrel Tailor

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with family and friends. Today I am sharing an album I created as a Christmas present for a very dear friend of mine. The link to my process video is located at the end of the blog, feel free to click on it.

Altered Album Cover

I used Frank Garcia’s Tall Album and applied Faber Castel’s Whipped Spackle through Art Anthology’s Art Nuveau stencil.

I then used a baby wipe and lightly rubbed black gesso all over. I then painted Velvet Dimensional Paint – Fiji

Once dry, I then used a spatula to apply Sorbet Dimensional Paint – Mermaid

I highlighted the stenciled area with PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acylric paint – Mermaid. I used chipboard by Dusty Attic and my tags are from 7 Dots Studio Cotton Candy Dreams Range. The flowers I used are by Prima Marketing Inc – Flirty Fleur.

I covered my chipboard, resin frame and metal butterfly in white gesso. I painted the butterfly with Sorbet Dimensional Paint – Mermaid

Christmas Mixed-Media Tag

Hey everyone, Suzanne here today to share with you a fun Christmas mixed-media tag that I’ve created using an array of Art Anthology paints and mediums! I will show you how I made the dimensional trees!

When I began the base of the tag, I knew I wanted a “midnight” blue, therefore, I mixed two Velvets- “Beyond the Reef ” and Tuxedo. They blended and worked perfectly! Once the paint was dried, I stamped and heat embossed a text image and like that, the tag base was complete!

Using just a piece of scrap watercolor paper, I cut out triangles for Christmas trees. I mixed a small amount of Kelly Green Shine paint with artist modeling paste; the paste “dilutes” the color of the paint, so I added paint until I was happy with the color. Using a palette knife, I simply applied the mixture to the paper making “swooping” motions.

Before the mixture dried, I tucked in 3d-dimensional balls for ornaments.

Once the background of the tree was completely dry, I added color to the ornaments with a color from the Rust Texture Set, “Amber;” I also went back in with Kelly green to go over the tree once more to give it just a little more depth and color.

Next, I added snow paste to the tree and topped it off with a dusting of glitter! I let all of the medium dry and assembled the tag! Here are some closeups!

The star wreath is a paper die-cut that’s been painted using the Rust Texture Set!

With brave wings she flies Art Journal Page by Lisa

Hi friends!

Lisa today to share with you my last art journal spread, using AA Stencil, Colorations sprays and AA paints!

To start I glued some pieces of an old book page and tissue papers down and then I brushed white gesso.
Then I chose AA Stencil Messy Bubbles and I used it with modelling paste. With a brush and a little bit of water I used some Colorations sprays until I was happy with the blend of colours.
I used some stamps with archival inks blue and purple.

After that I used Tuxedo Velvet Paint to made some ink splatters and I built my focal point with some embellishments.

I took a paper butterfly and I brushed with Sorbet Dazzle Paint, I love its glitter effect!

I finished my work with other splatters with Velvet Cotton Paint
