A Floral Jar

Hello, welcome to another tutorial. As some of you already know, I love repurposing common household objects and turning into works of art. I recently made this beautiful floral jar with tissue, clay flowers and Art Anthology Products and I loved it so much that I decided to do a video tutorial.

Floral Jar

I make my own clay flowers with Delight Clay™ and silicone molds, the kind you use for gum paste and fondant. I find this much cheaper as molds can be used over and over again. Also, the detail you get using the Delight Clay™ is amazing!

Below is a supply list and a video tutorial showing you how to make this jar. It actually would be a great gift for someone special.

Art Anthology Products used:

Salmon Colorations Spray
Sandcastle Colorations Spray
Flamingo Sorbet Dimensional Paint

Other products used are:
glass jar
gesso
tissue
clay flowers
collage paper
soft gel medium
white acrylic paint

“FLY” – An Upcycling Project

Hello! I am Suzette Hussey, a mixed media artist, and sculptor from Jamaica. This is my first post as an Art Anthology Dream Team member and I am super stoked to be sharing a fabulous upcycling project!

Upcycled Lid

I just love upcycling, repurposing, whatever you want to call it. In this project, my canvas is a metal lid off of a mosquito candle.  I add eggshells for texture and decorate with Colorations Sprays and Metal Effects Gold Paint. I then add a butterfly embellishment as my focal point and the word “Fly”.

To finish off I add some wooden beads.
