Nemo the Cat on Vinyl

Hi Art Anthology fans, I am back with my second project as an Art Anthology Dream-team member. This time I made a layout on an old record and used a picture of our cat Nemo.

Made this as a present for my daughter who misses the cat since she moved out to go study in Belgium.

Because the record has an interesting structure a bit of stenciling was enough for a background, I choose the stone effect dimensional medium Sandstone, because the color looked nice with the colors of the cat.

Don’t you just love the effect in combination with the Gothic stencil?

The colors of the Sorbet dimensional paint and the Colorations spray are also based on the colors I have in my picture. I really love the coloring part of mixed media altered. Sometimes you have a carnival of colors, then after gesso it is a bit boring. Adding the colors is bringing a composition to live I think.

I made you a video of the process:

List of supplies:

Stencil: Gothic

Colorations sprays: Indigo, Peacock Feather, Juicy.

Sorbet Dimensional Paint: Mermaid, Walnut, Kenyan Copper and Vegas Gold.

Stone effect : Sandstone

I really hope I could inspire you to create with Art Anthology products. We would love to see what you make with them in our Facebook group Art Anthology Adventures in Art.

Colorful tags with Daniëlle

Hi there everyone!

Daniëlle here with some colorful tags for you today!

I created them in a couple of easy steps:

  1. Add color with Velvets. Paint your tags.

2. Add structure using different colors of velvet and stencils.

3. While your tags are drying, color some die-cuts using colorations spray.

4. Add some stamping to the colored die-cuts and glue them to your tags.

5. To give my tags some sparkle I applied some clear coats through the cracked stencil.

6. While everything is drying, I stamped some butterflies and colored them with sorbets.

Final step is to put everything together and add a text you like.

Here’s a list of products I used:

Velvet: Taffy, Tango, Gecko green, Fiji, Boysenberry, Dayglow yellow.

Stencils: Chasing butterflies, Twilight, Cracked.

Colorations: Plush, Glorious.

Sorbet: Seaserpent, Cayman, Summer yellow, Flamingo.

Clear coat: Dazzle, Linen.

I hope you like it! See you next time!

Hi there, I am so excited to share my first project for Art Anthology with you all.
Because I am a real steampunk kind of girl I thought something in that style would be fun to start with.
I used a 30 x40 cm canvas for this one and lots of steampunk embellishments, some resin, some metals and even party straws from the toys section of a store nearby.
Here are some close up pictures.
I just love the effect of the rust texture paste  together with the spray’s and paints.
List of Art Anthology supplies I used:
Colorations Color Spray: Warm, Timeless and Juicy
Sorbet Dimensional Medium: Kenyan Copper and Walnut
Texture Set: Rust
Stencil: Pipe Dream
If you would like to know how I made this, here is a video:
