Using Colorations Sprays from Art Anthology to create a camo canvas with Josefine

Hi everyone,

today I want to share a new canvas with you. I used the Colorations Sprays to create a camo looking background and I love it 🙂

I used parts of the Lotus Stencil for the focal point in the background and to add some extra texture. By using the Minx inks to outline the Lotus flower it now looks like its shining even brighter.

I always like to add hidden interest to a project. The Dazzle paint is perfect for that as it dries clear and just leaves this amazing sparkle.

But now to the process. Here is my video that is showing how I put everything together. Enjoy 🙂

These are the supplies I used:

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my little canvas 🙂

Imagine… your bookmarks !

Hello there, it’s Valerie !

Back to papercrafts after few off-the-page projects ! This time I created for you few bookmarks, using Colorations sprays, mediums and stencil from the Art Anthology store :

The chevron pattern came from the Chevron stencil used with Lagoon Velvet medium. I just added few stamps and washi tapes to complete the design.

I obtain the background by spraying Siesta Key and Peacock Feathers. I added the washi tapes before stenciling, and then Stamped in black ink. The Gold Metal Effects higlight some of the stamped patterns. I also sprayed some Gilded Gold Fairy Dust to add some shine to the project.

Once again I used a white gel pen to give dimension to the stamps. You can see the entire process on video (here or on the Art Anthology channel) :

Thank you for stopping by today ! Hope to see you soon…

Be in love with your life art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

I’m back with a new art journal page using the amazing Art Anthology Velvet paints, Colorations sprays and a few stencils. If you remember from my last post, I reorganized my craft room and while doing that I found a few scrap pieces of paper. I’m supper happy that I found them, because I immediately had some ideas for art journal pages.

I found some elegant ladies as rub-ons and wanted to create a fancy art journal page for one of them. You can watch the process in my new video. This time it doesn’t have a voice over, but it should be pretty much self-explanatory:

When I was done with adding color to my page, I thought it looked like an underwater scene. So I grabbed some sea horses and se stars that I had lying around and added them to the page.

Of course the page needed a sentiment and what fit better than the big Soliloquy stencil paired with some other phrases?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did creating it 🙂

Art Journal Page with Josefine

The world is my playground art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

today I wanted to create a blue colored page. Not because I felt blue, but because the current mood board has so many pretty blue shades. I skipped the orange and replaced with some rust though.

A few days ago I reorganized my craft room and found a couple of scraps that I really wanted to incorporate somehow. So I decided to paint a blue background, add some texture and then use the scraps for this page.

I love that it is so simple to create a nicely blended background with the art Anthology paints. It always looks like I know what I’m doing 😛

If you want to see how I put everything together, here’s a video tutorial for you:

Here are a few more close ups for you.

How to Give a Book a New Life as Bookbox !!

Ellie Knol here again, yes, sadly for the last time now, as I step down from the design team after being here for a year..

…but don’t be sad, there are very talented new design team members already here now!

Thanks Stayce for having me, I really had fun working (playing) with your beautiful product! They will stay in my stash and I am sure I will USE them!

This time I chose to alter a book into a bookbox. It was a looooooot of work!

I gave myself some homework: and I must say: mission accomplished…

I wanted to know whether I like to work on a white or black surface better?! I still don’t know the answer.. I like them both.

I chose to use the colors from the current moodboard:
For a step-by-step of the process: SNAPGUIDE!!

Steampunk girl canvas

Hello there !

Valerie today to present you a steampunk canvas made with Art Anthology face stencil, mediums and inks !

The base is a canvas panel, covered with black gesso and pieces of patterned paper. Gel medium over Mechanical stencil were used with Colorations sprays in Sandcastle and Juicy.

The metal gears were covered with black gesso and Tango Velvet, Portobello Velvet and Shamrock Velvet Dimensional mediums to create a rusty look.

This eye is painted in Shamrock Velvet too ! The face is drawn with a Let’s Face It stencil.

Under the gears you can spot some chipboards also covered in black gesso, painted with the same colors than the gears.

As usual, the complete video tutorial will be available also on the Art Anthology YouTube channel :

Thank you for stopping by today ! I hope this project will inspire you to use your AA products more !

See you around…

Playing with Minx shimmering inks – no 4

Good day from a sunny Holland!
Ellie Knol here today.

I decided to make backgrounds with Minx Shimmering Inks, on all types of paper.
It is really easy, and relaxing to do while enjoying the sun…

****

I’ve been on vacation for a week… (more to come)
and did take some crafty stash with me, of course.

On an old table: using a bucket of water and paper, and of course … Minx,
I created a whole bunch of backgrounds.

I did not need a heattool to dry them, the sun did the drying for me.

****

Today I show you what I’ve made with the backgrounds that started as just plain old white paper.

For more information please see the
Snapguide I created ..
Check out How to Make Shimmery Backgrounds With Minx by Art Anthology on Snapguide.//snapguide.com/load-embed.js

I hope that I have inspired you to create something pretty today and play even when you’re on vacation. You can add the final touches when back at home.

Next time I’ll show the ones that had some white heat embossing, gesso and acrylic paint on it before coloring with Minx.

Have a play and show it to us on our Facebook group Art Anthology’s Adventures in Art !

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
SEE you next time!
