Salty sea canvas with Daniëlle

Hi guys!

Daniëlle here to show you what I created with my Art Anthology goodies! I decided to turn my canvas around and make some art on the back! Cool right? This way I use old canvases I don’t like anymore for another project!

I spraye the canvas with colorations sprays, used stencils and velvet/sorbet and I used the rust texture set.

Below are some close ups of my project:

I hope you’ll get inspired to start creating yourself!

Used products:

Colorations spray: Waimea bay, Siesta key, Sandcastle

Fairy Dust: Gilded Gold

Stencil: Fragments, Cracked

Velvet: Lagoon

Sorbet: Drab, Kenyan Copper

Texture set: Rust

Rusty leaves layout by Valerie

Hello there !

I have a Fall layout to show you today. I know, we are in February, but between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and soon to be Valentine’s day, I didn’t have the chance to scrap this Fall picture I like. So here it is, and thanks to that, I did use my rust texture set !

Beside the rust set, I also use the Diamond Grunge stencil with Leaf Sorbet on both sides of the paper. Bonus : the pattern matches the leaves !

To create this rusty effect, you will apply first the rust truffle, then touches of Terracotta, and a hint of Rust Amber for the finish.

On these two pictures, one leaf is painted, the other is a altered metal leaf…

Look how the Leaf Sorbet really pop and shine on this layout !

If you want to see how I make the leaves, you can watch the complete tutorial here or on the AA YouTube channel :

Thank you for stopping by today !

Stay tune for more projects from the DT, and see you soon…

Jingle Bell Rock by Toni

Merry Christmas y’all, put some music on and lets make some of these easy fun ornaments for your tree using our Rust paste set.

I purchased these huge bells at the dollar store and wanted to include them with my Christmas decorations on my tree but my theme this year was woodsy and these silver bells just were not matching. So I knew these would need to have the magical touch from our rust paste set.  Here we go !I first gave two coats of black gesso then starting with the dark brown I covered the whole bell and then using a sponge I added the terracotta and completely dried it. Then randomly added the gold. They take on a whole different look…. I love it. Let’s now add some twine. Using your hot glue gun let’s add some twine around the middle of the bell. Now let’s add some greenery, pinecones, little rusted star and some Christmas ribbon. For a bit of texture, mix equal parts of Velvet Cotton, baking soda and school glue to make snow and apply to the greenery and the bell. And there you have it fun new ornaments for your tree that cost you practically nothing but the fun time you have making them is priceless… Hope you were inspired and that you have Rockin good Christmas !

FALL IN ♥ WITH PATINA AND RUST

Hi all our crafty followers, are you ready for some new fabulous products from Art Anthology. We now have a Patina and Rust set that is so much fun to work with. I wasn’t able to choose my favorite between the two sets so I used both to alter my paper mache pumpkin for the holidays.

My pumpkin was an inexpensive paper mache one purchased at my craft store. I covered it first with embossed metal tape, which you can view the tutorial below to watch my process. The embossing provided some nice textures, but the patina and rust gave it that kick that was needed. Leaves were created with burlap material, and the pumpkin vine was made twisting some floral grapvine wire with seed beads. I hope this has inspired you with some ideas for altering up some holiday decor for your home. Get your hands on these two new sets from Art Anthology HEREAs an added small project I had purchased some wood leaves at Michaels, they were 70% off for their harvest items, so these leaves cost me 20 cents !!!  Simply printed out my words, burnt the edges of the paper and applied to my wood pieces with Sorbet paint in Glass, attached some twine and they will go wrapped around my place settings for my Thanksgiving table. Wishing you a holiday filled with love and blessings…. Creatively yours, Toni
