Upcycle Bottles Into Beautiful Home Decor

Happy Holidays my Art Anthology friends! Kathy Adams here to share my project with you today.  During this holiday season, I am sure we are all going to create lots of trash and recycling. Why not take some of those empty bottles and upcycle them into something beautiful!  You may have already upcycled something and didn’t even know it!  Here is the definition of upcycle:
-reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value than the original.
For this project, I used a wine bottle, a liquor bottle and a cheap wine glass, added a few layers of shimmery Art Anthology Sorbet and Metal Effects paints and I have a custom handmade centerpiece for my holiday table that matches my home.  And with all of the luscious colors of Art Anthology paints, imagine the possibilities!
I removed all of the labels from the bottles and washed and dried them before I started. Find out what I did next in the Snapguide.

Check out How to Paint Recycled Glass Bottles by Kathy Adams by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

I put a votive candle in the wine glass and it glows beautifully through the layers of paint and glass when it’s dark out.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to create and share my love of art with all of you throughout this year. I wish all of you a blessed holiday season and much love and prosperity throughout the coming year!  Now go get some trash, throw some Art Anthology goodness on it and get your craft on!

Disclosure:  No dumpster diving was done in the making of this craft project.
