Art journal page by Lisa

Hi AA friends!

Lisa today to share with you my last art journal spread, using AA Stencil, Colorations sprays and AA paints!

To start I prepped my page by brushing white gesso and I used stamps with archival black ink. With a brush and a little bit of water I used some Colorations sprays until I was happy with the blend of colours. Then I chose AA  Stencil and I used it with Cotton Velvet Paint.

With a spatula I spread Cotton Velvet Paint here and there and I glued some pieces of white paper doily. After I used Tuxedo Velvet Paint to made some ink splatters and I built my focal point with some embellishments.

Here some close ups photos:

I used these products on my project:

Messy Bubbles Stencil

Siesta Key Colorations Spray

Peacock Feathers Colorations Spray

Cotton Velvet

Tuxedo Velvet

Mixed media layout on canvas

Hi friends!

Lisa today on the blog to share with you my newest mixed media layout on canvas, playing with my favorite AA stencil and paints!

To start I brushed a coat of white gesso on the canvas and I made stencils with Stone effect Bone.

I used the stone effect also on some paper diecuts.

I made stamps with archival black ink and then I diluted the Tuxedo Velvet with water and I used a brush to color my background.

I made splatters with Gold Metal Effect and a fan brush

I sprayed Siesta Coloration on my leaves, and I brushed Gold Metal Effect on the others

So I pasted all the embellishments with my photo on the canvas, and as final touch I made big splatters with Cotton Velvet.

Here some close ups:

I used these AA products:

Lotus Stencil 6×9

Bone Stone Effects

Siesta Key Colorations Spray

Cotton Velvet

Tuxedo Velvet

Gold Metal Effects

Mixed media reverse canvas

Hi friends!

Lisa today with you to share my last mixed media project! I love playing with gesso, stencils and painting and this time I have a reverse canvas for you!

To start I brushed several coats of white gesso on the reverse side of a canvas. After that I glued some pieces of tissue paper with a gel medium.

Then I chose Lotus Stencil to make some design with Stone Effects Bone, and I brushed also this paint here and there to give more texture.

I made some stamps with black archival ink, and then I started coloring the background with a light blend of Siesta Colorations spray first, to follow with Peacock Feathers.

While it was drying I colored a chipboard with the color Velvet Fiji and later I got dirty it with a little bit of white gesso.

So I glued all my embellishments with tacky glue and I made big splatters with Velvet Cotton color.

Some close ups photos:

I used these AA products:

Lotus Stencil 6×9

Bone Stone Effects

Siesta Key Colorations Spray

Peacock Feathers Colorations Spray

Fiji Velvet

Cotton Velvet

That’s all for today!

Hocus pocus art journal page with Daniëlle

Hi Art Anthology fans!

Daniëlle here with a Halloween themed art journal page.

I hope you enjoy the little photo tutorial I included!

  1. I always start my pages with a little bit of collage. Just to make my background a little more interesting.

2. I started adding some orange with colorations spray and minx ink.

3. Next, I added some grey and black for more contrast. I also added some orange drips with minx ink.

Close up:

4. I added some background stamps.

Some more close ups:

5. As a final layer in my background, I added some stone effects lava through a stencil. It adds more depth and interest to my page.

6. To finish my page I looked for some washitape and ephemera and I added this to my page.

I hope you like it!

Products I used:

Colorations: Juicy, Raider, Steel

Minx ink: Radiance

Stone effects: Lava

Stencil: Gothic
