Mixed Media Sea Tag

Hello Art Anthology Friends and Fans! Jenn here today sharing a fun mixed media tag with a Sea theme. I have used Art Anthology Colorations Sprays, Minx Shimmering Inks, and Stencil.

AA Colorations Sprays – Timeless, Siesta Key
AA Minx Shimmering Ink – Gold Dust
AA Stencil – Messy Bubbles

To create my tag, I first adhered a grungy style paper to it and roughed up the edges. I also inked the edges using a brown distress ink. Next, I added some texture paste through the messy Bubbles stencils and let it dry. I smeared some crackle paste here and there and let that dry as well

Next I added AA Colorations Sprays alternating between the colors and drying in between with my heat tool. I then added the amazing shimmer seen using Minx in Gold Dust!

I love how the color settles in all of the crackle paste adding texture!

To finish my tag, I added lots of sea elements using shells, chipboards, paper and art stones.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog and viewing my post today! I hope that you are inspired to create something today!

I WAS BORN TO BE WILD MIXED MEDIA LAYOUT

Good morning everyone! I have a fun mixed media layout to share with you! When I started this layout I really did not have anything in mind… so this took me longer than I thought it would. There are lots of layers and colors on this and the timing of it all was so worth it.

To begin, I used three Sorbet Dimensional Paint Mediums (Vegas Gold, Mermaid and Flamingo) to cover a sheet of white cardstock. I started with the Vegas Gold first… Then I applied the Mermaid and then the Flamingo.

Once the paint was completely dry I used the Stencil and white paint to create some circles in the background that did not do too well. I ended up smearing the white into the background to blend the colors a bit. Then I used the Metal Effects Dimension Medium (Silver) and the Lotus Stencil to create some fun textures for the background. Once the Metal Medium was completely dry, I used the Raider Coloration Spray and Lattice Stencil to create some dimonds in the background. Then I splashed some Raider Coloration Spray all over the layout to add some more black to help break up the colors a bit.

Once I was satisfied with the background, I used a few journaling cards, chipboards, jewels, stickers and puffy stickers to embellish the center of the layout.

Products Used:

Lotus Stencil

Lattice Stencil

Sorbet Dimensional Paint: Vegas Gold, Flamingo, Mermaid

Metal Effects Dimensional Medium: Silver

Coloration Spray: Raider

WINTER TIME

Happy New Year!! It’s hard to believe another year has passed. People have told me over the years… time flies, the older you get. They are so right! It’s scary how fast time flies. I’m going to have a 10 year old (double digits) next month. THAT’S SCARY!

My little man loves the snow. Last year we only got a few inches. Hopefully, this year we will get a little more so he can really enjoy it. Today, I’m sharing a layout I created using Coloration Sprays (Sky, Granny Smith, and Salmon) and the Meridian Stencil. I love these colors together.

To begin, I prepped the page with Clear Gesso. Once the gesso was completely dry, I placed the Meridian Stencil onto the cardstock and then sprayed about 12 inches above the stencil using the Granny Smith. When spraying multiple colors, I start with the lightest colors first and work my way up to the darker colors.

After spraying the Granny Smith, I carefully lifted the stencil and moved it to a different area on the cardstock and sprayed over the stencil using the Salmon Coloration Spray. I repeated the same process with the Sky Coloration Spray.

I used a heat gun to speed up the drying time. Once the ink was completely dry, I added my embellishments!

I used papers and embellishments from Studio Forty to design this layout. Love these chipboard pieces and the wooden enamel buttons.

I used an acrylic stamp to stamp the “Winter Time” title at the top of the layout and then I stamped “Joy” on one of the squares.

Products Used

Meridian Stencil

Coloration Sprays-Granny Smith, Sky and Salmon
