Stencilled Background Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today playing with Art Anthology stencils.  One of my favorite product lines to use with the stencils is the Coloration sprays.  And, if you are like me, you don’t want to waste all that color goodness once you’ve spritzed the stencils.  So I place cardstock on top of the spritzed stencils and get fun negative effects.  I put them aside and hold onto them for other projects.

I spritzed the Beehive stencil with Patience Colorations for one project, then placed white cardstock on top and got this wonderful background.

Then I painted Ash Velvet Paint on a craft mat and used it as my ink pad.

I gently dabbed the image into the Ash Velvet Paint and stamped it on white cardstock.  Once it dried, I colored the image  with Fairy, Champagne, Red Corvette and Blizzard Dimensional Crystals.  I fussy cut the image and matted it with gray cardstock.   The card was created from red cardstock and I added a layer of gray cardstock and cut the stenciled background to fit.  I  tied a ribbon around the panel before adding it to the card, then added the image on top with foam adhesives for dimension.

Using Patience and Lark Colorations, this background was created with the Beehive and Dottie stencils.  I randomly added some Gesso, placed some butterfly Embedibles on top and added more Gesso as a sealer.

The large butterfly Embedible was inked and embossed then added to the panel and a coordinating sentiment was placed in the corner.  The panel was then mounted on brown cardstock and an orange card which brings out the colors in the card.

This next background was created with the negative Bubbles Stencil, and I rubbed Ash Velvet Paint around the panel before matting it with black cardstock.

The image was stamped with Ash Velvet Paint and then the Dottie stencil was place on top and spritzed with Timeless Colorations.

I matted the image with cardstock and adhered it to the background, then popped a smaller die cut image on top which had also been stamped with Ash.  Using Dimensional Crystals in Fairy, Champagne and Red Corvette, I added color around the image.

Oh la la was stamped with Ash Velvet Paint in the corner.  Since it is a larger word stamp, it stamped beautifully with the paint.
