No Patterned Paper, No Problem!

Hey everyone, Suzanne here to share with you a layout that features absolutely no patterned paper! Why yes, it can be done! I created this super simple layout using only cardstock die-cuts and yummy Art Anthology paints!

The background is very easy to achieve. I began by applying Black Leather Jacket Sorbet to the background with a palette knife.

Next, without rhyme or reason, I spread the paint across the page with a brayer; let the background dry and that’s it! The glitter in the paint makes for a perfect backdrop for the stars.

I die-cut several stars using heavy-weight cardstock. Some of the stars I colored simply by misting with Colorations Spray. I painted several of the stars using Sorbet and Velvet paints; for the Velvet painted stars, I added Clear Coat in Dazzle and Splashed. I also stenciled a couple of the stars using the Morse Code Stencil. After all pieces are dried, I assembled the layout! Here are some close-ups!

Although the page has no patterned paper, the AA Paints help bring this layout to life with tons of sparkle!!

Art Anthology Supplies:
Sorbet Paints “Mermaid, Black Leather Jacket”
Clear Coats “Dazzle, Splashed”
Velvet “Beyond the Reef, Fiji”
Colorations “Siesta Key”

Other Supplies:
heavy weight cardstock
