Hello everyone! Suzanne here today to share with you a vibrant and colorful rainbow layout courtesy of Art Anthology Colorations Sprays and Stencils! This layout is much simpler than I’m accustomed to creating, but I love that the Colorations Sprays lend so much of a colorful punch that simple is all that’s needed!
I begin the layout by centering the Wheel Stencil onto a piece of a white cardstock. Using an array of Art Anthology Colorations Sprays, start misting the colors in sections onto the stencil.
Take note to spray complimentary colors next to each other. If the colors bleed, it’ll add a new color which contributes to the rainbow effect!
Once all sprays have been applied, Lift the stencil up and away from the page. Tip: to prevent over spray, simply mask off the edges of the stencil with scrap paper; a good way to “clean” the stencil is to to sandwich between pages in your art journal or pick up the color with tags!
While the mists are drying, it’s time to add a little embellishing with the Industrial Stencil. Although Art Anthology mists and paints work beautifully with the stencils, I opted to use a permanent marker! I am an amazingly messy scrapper, but with this particular application, I wanted to be just a tad neater.
On a separate piece of cardstock, simply use a broad-tip permanent marker to “color in” the edge of the design of the Industrial stencil-cut the design from the cardstock to use as a design element!
All that’s left to do is to assemble the layout with patterned paper, flower embellishments, and to splatter coordinating colors on the wheel for a little added detail and interest!
Needless to say, I LOVE these sprays! They have been a joy to work with, and I am certain they will be called upon often in my crafty adventures! Here’s a list of the Colorations Sprays and Stencils used to create this layout.
