Well sweetheart month is almost over but it’s not too late for some love filled creativity, mine is just a bit tainted. (lol) We’re going to create something off the wall…….. for your wall.
I puchased this paper mache heart quite awhile back and I got these awesome black feathered wings on sale after Halloween and new I was going to merge the two together somehow and this is what I came up with.
I love pairing up odd items and try to come up with something new and this project was a lot of fun. With the help of Art Anthology’s stencils, Mud Paste, sprays and paints and a pile of flowers and metal pieces I think it came together pretty well.
Applying the Mud paste through the stencil for some great texture and then adding the paints to the embellishments and the sprays for the highlights was really easy.
The ruffles on the right side of the heart are made with paper spritzed with water to break down the fibers and make the paper pliable. The rivets are made from hot glue . Hope you enjoyed and take a few moments if you will and check out my Snapguide tutorial below.
Sending XOXOXOXOX’s Toni
