Hi creative peeps! Kathy here today to show you a technique that I learned from an online class, Inspiration Wednesday, with Donna Downey. In the class, she used watercolors with masks. I thought the technique would be perfect for using Minx Shimmering Inks and some of the cool masks available from Art Anthology.
I used 11″ x 14″ sturdy mixed media paper to create a background, then cut it into cards and used Melissa Frances wood veneer and resin embellishments to finish them off. Many of us don’t send cards through the mail anymore, but I’ve found that people still really love and appreciate receiving them. And it is a great way to share your art with loved ones and friends.
You can see my process from start to finish here….
I created three more cards I made using this background.
For more details and individual photos, check out the Melissa Frances blog today. Now go make some cards using Minx and Masks and share them with your friends and family! And don’t forget to share your creations on our Facebook page, Art Anthology Adventures in Art too!
