“I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful.” As a mental health therapist my favorite part of your art is that it speaks. I have worked with anxiety/trauma clients, alongside you actually. And we know that one symptom is to dissociate from reality, to lose attachment and connectivity, to become numb. When we lack insight, or have been lost, your art seeks to search, create, formulate… It is an agent of healing and re-birth. You teach communication using words (my favorite part), colors, shapes, shadows for people who maybe have lost their voice. You are a teacher and an advocate.

I love the use of written words within the beautifully executed flowers and starry background. I also notice that when the whole image is viewed it looks like pages in a book, subtly accentuating the mixture of text and visual art. The message is wonderfully inspiring, too.
