Color My World by Toni

Hi everyone, I’m up on the blog today using some old dried up ready for the trash craft items, but if you are like me, sometimes it’s real hard to discard things.  I decided to take this paint palette that I’ve used in the past for rusting my pieces, and old paint brush that has seen better days,  a canvas that had been started in the past but I really wasn’t fond of it , and some package materials from previous art supplies in order to provide me a new inspiration piece.

Here was my rusty old paint palette that was ready for the garbage.  Hard to believe anything good could be created from this, but with Art Anthology paints I was able to get some vibrant splatters to my canvas and color palette which brought the entire project together. Check around your craft room to see what you might be able to alter. Take a moment to enjoy my snapguide tutorial below on my creative journey with this project.  Photographed below are also the colors I used for this creation.

Bee Happy door hanger

Hello my dear crafty friends!

Irit is here with my new Mixed Media tutorial and this time we are going to make a Happy door hanger or as you can see it is ” Bee Happy” one.

As you can see I made it in bee’s yellow and just black and white and used tons of Art Anthology products.

The main images and the sentiment were stamped and heat embossed. My tip for you: if you wish to use mists over stamped images first heat emboss them! So easy and keeps the images untouched even with the heavy spraying.

So here are some close- ups for you to see and then there is a full step by step Snapguide tutorial as always.

Here is our Snapguide tutorial:

Hi and welcome back!

Today I’m sharing a small project with you using a piece of birch wood and Art Anthology paints to create a wall hanger. Even though it’s a small piece of art, I had a lot of fun creating it!

I prepared a video tutorial for you, showing you how I created the image on the birch wood:

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial 🙂

Do you ever paint on wood? I love how the Art Anthology paints turn out! They have a very distinct sheen to them. It’s hard to explain, but I encourage you to give it a try and see for yourself 🙂

A Twist On Canvas Art With Brandy

Hello Art Anthology fans! Brandy here to share a super cute project with you!
Inspired by two adorable little flower fairies, I set off on a journey into a color combo I haven’t used very much in the past. I love how it turned out though!
Just a couple 6×6 canvases hooked together with two small hinges, and I was off!

For that fabulous texture, I used both my Twilight and Diamond Grunge stencils.

Wanting to keep things dainty, I chose some tiny white diecuts as accents to fill in the inside of the canvas.

Naked Beauty by Toni

Hi all our artsy followers, today I’m on the blog with a layout I created featuring an “au natural” photo I took at the beach of the gorgeous colors in the sand as well as pretty textures of shells, pods, feathers and drift wood…. all of natures eye candy. I love photographing  mother nature stripped down, in the raw. The textures, the organic feel is truly healthy for my soul. I did add some florals as well as moss, shells and different sizes of art stones to enhance, but the foundation was provided by Art Anthology’s Mud Texture Paste run through the pretty Bubbles stencil. As well as splashes here and there of AA’s paints using Sorbet, Velvets and Stone Effects. (Below are a list of products used. )Instant coffee  spritzed with water also provided for some warmth and depth to my layout. I hope you have been inspired to photograph the unexpected. Embrace what has been provided to you by the earth’s complexion, photograph it and then get messy with your mixed media products in order to save those memories.

Products used are:

Velvets-Terracotta, Tuxedo

Stone Effects-Concrete

Sorbet-Chocolate

Stencil-Bubbles

Mud Texture Paste

Enjoy my Snapguide tutorial below for my step x step process.
