Measured Moments – Art Journal Page

Hi everyone, Maria here, so happy to be back with another DT project. I’ve decided to create another page for my Vintage Art Journal. My inspiration started with the quote I used, but it was shortly followed by my love for all things vintage. I used a the “scales” stencil, several colorations sprays, a combination of metallic effects and sorbet paints. Love how all of the colors used blended so well together.

Enjoy…

You can see my process start to finish here…..

Sand and Surf themed Canvas Mini Album with Brandy

Hi Art Anthology followers! Is it summer yet??? Well it’s not really even close here in the high Rockies, but a girl can dream, right?
I found these adorable little canvas bags at Target and wanted to use them to make some kind of one of a kind mini album. So with some wood pieces as spacers I used a super easy Japanese Binding technique to make them into a book.

A little gesso on the pages and I was ready to go! It doesn’t get much more beachy than Coral Sorbet Paint & Waimea Bay Colorations Spray! 🙂 Then add a few drips and spritzes of Warm Colorations Spray gives it that warm and cozy- been around awhile- look!

I hope this inspires you during your transition to summer!! Go play and get ready for those summer photos!!
I’ve made a snapguide tutorial for this…come take a peek!

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second May Art Anthology post!

Today I am going to share a totally different project. This time I am going tom show you how you can use Art Anthology products to make two clean and simple cards using the very same stamp, two different Art Anthology stencils and Art Anthology paints and colorations.

As you can see these cards are made with the same stamped sentiment, but them the cardstock, colors and mediums made them totally different.

Here are the cards again:

Newborn wall hanger…

Ellie Knol here today…
and I created a wall hanger for you…

Making this project took me over a week… trial and error… starting, not being satisfied, and changing details all the time.. it was a bit frustrating, but I am happy with it now.

I started with a tiny blue t-shirt, with text on it that I wanted covered. I was happy with the outcome of the shirt straight away.. just added some white highlights later on.

But the base… grrrr… If you look at the step-by-step in the Snapguide tutorial, you’ll see what I mean.

I like this detail in the background!

The finished project…

…hope this little newborn boy will see it later on in his life and be happy with it! His mommy will, anyway!

I’ve created a Snapguide tutorial for you:

I hope that I have inspired you to think out of the box.. and keep trying when it doesn’t turn out as you imagined it.

Vintage Art Jornal Page

Hi everyone, Maria here, happy to be posting my first Art Anthology DT project. I so enjoyed playing with all of the different sprays and paints, especially with some of the paints being somewhat translucent. With so many colors and textures to play with, including stencils, I’m so looking forward to creating more projects. Step by step tutorial posted below.

With that, I finally found the courage to use my Mixed Media Art Journal. I did take a page out by removing the wire rings from the Journal, I did this to create at liberty, without making a mess onto the other pages. Keep in mind that I do have the Cinch tool that can easily reattach the rings, although I will not be reattaching it until I complete the journal. I have decided to designate this journal to my love of vintage and vintage shabby chic.

Enjoy…

Art Journal tutorial

Bonjour !

Valerie today to present you a new tutorial : a mixed media Art Journal !

I love create scrapbook pages, but sometimes I just want to put some colors on paper, add a little stamp or two, nothing fancy but satisfying for my creating cravings… Using paints, inks, stencils and stamps on a journal spread is perfect for this kind of mood ! And as I wanted some sunshine (that I didn’t have outside), my pages are very sunny…

Starting with Glorious Colorations spray and Allure Minx, I built the background with the Retro and Blocked stencils and the Juicy Colorations spray and Tango Velvet Dimensional medium.

Few stamps colored with Patience Colorations spray and Red Velvet Sorbet Dimensional medium, some alpha stickers and a black pen and you’re done!

As usual, you will find the complete video tutorial on the Art Anthology YouTube channel or just watch it from here :

Thank you for stopping by the AA blog today, see you soon for my next project…

It’s Time For Spring by Toni

Happy May everyone, our mood board this month provides crisp yummy colors to inspire you with this months projects.

April showers bring May flowers so my next project is all about making these cute little blossoms. First let me thank Holly Young (youtubber ) for her money saving tip on making the fluffy material for the flowers. And to provide more

I started with a canvas and utilized the back side to provide some dimension to my piece. Using Art Anthology Mud and some Coloration Sprays I created a brick background.

Art Anthology Metal Effects Silver with a little bit of Black Soot DI gave my chipboard gate and clock a pewter look.

Reindeer moss added to inside of canvas provided a nice mulchy area to start adding my flowers. Don’t let these little blossoms intimidate you, they are a bit tedious but so easy and so much fun.

Hope this allowed you to discover a new way to use Art Anthology’s vibrant products. Wishing you a garden of creativity. xoxo Toni

Minx Shimmering Inks – Allure, Bankroll, Magestic

Nautical shadow box

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first May Art Anthology project.

I am a big fan of cheap $ store products that can be altered and embellished.

So with Art Anthology great paints, colorations and stencils I made this Nautical shadow box and as you can see it looks fabulous!

I decided not to cover the inside of the shadow part with paint and the white space makes the inside stencilled piece to shine.

Here are some close – ups to this piece:
