Altered NoteBook Cover W/ Brandy for the Mood Board Challenge!

Hi there! Brandy here to share a notebook cover I altered!

I was inspired by this month’s mood board challenge on the the Art Anthology group page, Adventures in Art! Stop by to see other team members work or to share yours with us!! We’d love to have you!

I used my new Twinkle Lights Stencil and Barbie Colorations Spray for background color.  CONCRETE Stone Effects and REEF Velvet Paint worked perfect with my LATTICE and TWILIGHT Stencils for texture. Then I gave it all a grey tint with my STERLING Colorations Spray to finish it off!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to try some of my techniques with a few Art Anthology products!

#SummerVibes Inspiration Challenge Canvas with Brandy

Hi there Art fans! Brandy here today to share a canvas I made for our #SummerVibes Challenge on the our Facebook Fan page, Adventures in art!
Don’t forget…All members that post and share their #summervibe project will be put into a drawing for one of Marleen van Meerendonk‘s new stencils!!!
Here is our inspiration for you! Any project any style…just use some Art Anthology product on it!!

I decided to make a canvas for my project.  Of course I let those blue skies and water and all that lavender inspire me!

I have created many very subtle textures in the background of my canvas by using my Hurricane, Bubbles, and Take Flight stencils! It wasn’t easy but I tried really hard to keep my coloring to a minimum…so the color that was there would stand out !

Just three simple products were used… my Sky Colorations Spray, and my Orchid and Reef Velvet paints! I built up my Sky color, by adding a few layers of sprays and and watered down my Velvet’s to use them more as watercolors.

I hunted around on the internet to find a title to work with and found a poem by Roald Dahl….LOL, gives me a #SummerVibe, how about you!!??

Here is a tutorial/process video if you’d like to see how I made it!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to create a summer project to come and share with us!!!

Sun Kissed by Toni

Hi everyone, Toni here with a new project inspired by our pretty moodboard for summer.  I’m calling it  “Sun Kissed”.

The flowers, bright colors and ocean gave me some wonderful inspiration to alter a wooden tag that I had purchased on sale at Michaels. Lots of fussy cutting with the addition of seed beads and prills for texture to the flowers. Art Anthology has fantastic mixed media products that are so user friendly….. please don’t be afraid to dig into these mediums. Combined with Mudd paste, our stencils and a combination of different Colorations sprays the backdrop for my pretty summer piece came together.

I hope this has inspired you a bit how to use our moodboard to get those creative juices flowing. I’m wishing you a Sunkissed Summer season.  xoxoxo

Below are Art Anthology products that have been used on this piece.
