Rusty ATC’s w/ Brandy

Hi there Art Anthology Fans!! Boy, this month is flying by, isn’t it??
Though my project today is tiny, what it lacks in size, it makes up for in WOW!

I’m so impressed with these new collections! They are just so easy to use.

I like to apply a base coat color and put the other two color mediums mostly on the textured areas. Let them dry between coats…but you can use your heat tool for speed. 🙂

Find this Rust Collection Texture Set ans so many more awesome products in the ART Anthology online store!!

Here is a video of my process!

I hope I’ve inspired you to grab yourself some plain and boring and rust it up!!

Cute ATC Trio w/ Brandy!

Hello Art Anthology Fans! For my second project his month, I thought I’d have a little fun with some ATC’s! The tiny beauties on each card are bits of clipart I bought and cut out. I had so much fun deciding what body to put with each head and legs, etc! Since they are quite busy little beings, I thought I better make a fairly simple background to let them shine!

I love how they turned out, don’t you!?

Happy Journal

Hello Art Anthology Friends and Fans! Jenn here today and I am going to share with you how I created my happy journal cover using Art Anthology products.

For starters, this project is the result of two projects that were both lost. By lost I mean not looking the way I had planned. I was cleaning my studio and found these and said maybe rather than trashing them?…and this is what I did!

Please see my Snapguide link below for instructions and full supply list.

Art Anthology Products Used:

Colorations Sprays – Avocado, Warm

Rust set (Amber)

Bubbles Stencil

Minx Shimmering Inks –  Panache, Bankroll

Fairy Dust Spray – Ice

This is where it all began. A journal cover I had started to alter and pieces removed from a small canvas I was unhappy with.

A closer look….

Mixed media canvas about Maths…

Happy New Year from Valerie !

There is no reason to create less than in 2017, right ? I hope you start this new year with alot of projects in mind, and I hope I will help you in your creativity with my new project inspired by the January moodboard…

That was a lot of work but I am so pleased with the result ! I wanted to create a canvas to celebrate Maths and found a quote from Albert Einstein : “Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.” I had my title !

I used three different stencils, two from the Off the Grid stack, and the Blocked stencil. You will also find some Mud texture paste and Plush Colorations spray.

And I did play with Velvet and Sorbet mediums : Orchid, Mayan gold, Purple Rain, Mardi Gras and Dragon Fruit.

Maths are so important in the progress of the human kind… In fact, they are present everywhere, especially in art ! I think this piece could be a perfect gift for a Maths teatcher… Never too early to think about end-of-the-school-year gift or even a dad’s day gift ?

You can watch my video tutorial to see my creative process right here :

And if you need another push to creativity, here is the moodboard to help you start with colors…

Once again happy new year, and see you soon for another mixed media project…
