Curious Cat Canvas

Hello everyone! Today I am hoping to inspire you with this fun canvas project using the *New* Shine Dimensional paints from Art Anthology! Below I have included a Snapguide tutorial with step by step instructions on how this was created.

The Shine Dimensional paints are vibrant and smooth. When dry they are semi-translucent and have a beautiful hi-gloss finish. They are available in 11 beautiful colors.

For this project I chose to use them to create a water colored effect as my background. They react very well when mixed with water this way as seen below.

For my canvas, I used the following products from Art Anthology:
Shine Dimensional paints
Ocean  Royal

Minx Shimmering Inks
Panache  Stargazer

Rose Swirl Stencil

From Recycling Bin to Art!

Hello Art Anthology Friends and Fans! Today I am sharing this fun repurposed bottle project using  some amazing Art Anthology products! Products Used available by clicking the links below.
Colorations Plush
Colorations Wild Orchid
Fairy Dust Ice
Minx Gold Dust
Pebbles Stencil

Start with a clean glass bottle. Coat with two or three coats of white gesso allowing each coat to dry.

Add molded focal such as the cherub head and wings used here. Also add flowers and metal embellishments. Use a strong adhesive that can stand wet media. Once all are glued down coat them all in heavy white gesso. I also added some white crackle paste through the Pebbles stencil on the neck and allowed it to dry and crackle. This added a bit more texture.

Next add the Colorations Sprays and Fairy Dust Spray Ice. Alternate between them and dry each as they are added. Once the color was dry I re-coated the face in white gesso so it stood out.

I added a script stamp in black all over the open areas. Drips of Gold Dust Minx were used to accent areas and also the hair. Gel medium was dabbed in areas around the embellishments and then sprinkled with a mixture of gold micro beads and gold glass glitters. Once all was dry I brushed a pearlizing medium over the bottle and focal as well as some of the flowers.

A large rose painted with Art anthology colorations in the same colors was added along with a metal butterfly embellishment.
Lastly I added some chain with a pearl charm to the top as an accent.

Some other views….

Hi there Art Anthology Fans!! Boy, this month is flying by, isn’t it??
Though my project today is tiny, what it lacks in size, it makes up for in WOW!

I’m so impressed with these new collections! They are just so easy to use.

I like to apply a base coat color and put the other two color mediums mostly on the textured areas. Let them dry between coats…but you can use your heat tool for speed. 🙂

Find this Rust Collection Texture Set ans so many more awesome products in the ART Anthology online store!!

Here is a video of my process!

I hope I’ve inspired you to grab yourself some plain and boring and rust it up!!

Cute ATC Trio w/ Brandy!

Hello Art Anthology Fans! For my second project his month, I thought I’d have a little fun with some ATC’s! The tiny beauties on each card are bits of clipart I bought and cut out. I had so much fun deciding what body to put with each head and legs, etc! Since they are quite busy little beings, I thought I better make a fairly simple background to let them shine!

I love how they turned out, don’t you!?
