Moody Blues by Toni

Hi everyone… have you seen our mood board this month ? It’s plump full of inspiration and gorgeous blue tones.

For my inspiration I pulled from the beautiful blues of course, the wood grain on the door, the graytones, the pretty mosaic print and the funny circles. Here is what I came up with.

I had a photo of my daughter in black and white and I reprinted it in an ombre effect with the blues for my focal point. The background first I used our pretty gothic stencil and sponged on some Sorbet-Black Leather Jacket and once dry I ran through Mud Texture Paste through the same stencil. The it was time for some fun with splatters here and there and I also dipped my lids in the paint for some pretty circles. The photo above you can see what a pretty shine the Minx Shimmering Inks provides on your projects. Just dripped this down the sides of my layout. It’s always fun to use unexpected items for your titles, these were little wood pieces that I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hold, using archival black ink I stamped my letters and added the brads. With the addition of some crystal seed beads in my flowers and some sterling glass glitter for added texture. I hope you will join us this month and be inspired by our beautiful mood board, please also post it on our Facebook page HERE so we all can be inspired by your creativity.  Happy creating xoxo Toni

Make your own rust effects with Art Anthology!

Hello Art Anthology Fans!! Dream Team member Brandy here today to share my project inspired by our moodboard over on the Facebook group page, Art Anthology Adventures in Art!
This month’s board features some awesome rusty objects! If you haven’t played along yet, what are you waiting for!? 🙂

I’ve heard of other companies having mediums that look like rust, so naturally I had to see if we could make our own with Art Anthology products! Turns out, I only had to add one ingredient to some paint……and it was sand!

With a combination of “sandy” Kenyan Copper Sorbet and Radiance Minx Shimmering Ink I was able to come up with something that looks pretty darn close! 🙂

I made a Snapguide tutorial for this project!

Have Fun With A Rusty Technique by Toni

Hi everyone, Toni here inspired by our beautiful mood board this month, with yummy texture and deep bold colors. Rust is probably one of my favorite color palettes to create with and I was so excited to start working with it.

I found an egg crate in the trash and decided to alter it as an Easter project. Wonderful AA products provided easy transformation for this trash article.

The cross was made from air dry clay and then crackled with AA’s products seeping into the cracks.

With some texture powder added to my paints it gave me a nice gritty texture.

This was such a fun and unexpected transformation. I hope this has inspired you to get creative with our products. Wishing you a blessed Easter Holiday and creative days ahead.

The following Art Anthology products were used:

Velvet- Portabello, Terracotta

Stone Effect-Sandstone

Metal Effect-Gold

Sorbet-Chocolate, Mint Julep, Cayman, Black Leather Jacket
