Sunflowers in September

Hi Art Anthology friends! Kathy here today.  A recent trip home to Pennsylvania reminded me of how much I love sunflowers.  I attended the wedding of my nephew, and his bride loves sunflowers and they were everywhere.  I painted them a large sunflower canvas for a gift and everyone liked it so much that I decided to do another one.

Here are several photos I took of the sunflowers I saw at the wedding.

I love the little bumblebee I caught having his dinner!!

See how I created this sunflower using lots of texture and many layers .

This week it’s all about the Layers

Hi Everyone…

Monica here to share my project with you.

Our theme this week is layers…the really cool thing about this is, that layering adds so much dimension to a project, no matter what you are making. It’s easy to do and there are so many different ways you can add layers.

Let me show you my completed project, then you can click on the Snapguide Link where I have tons of pictures and instruction on how I achieved this piece.

Live Your Dream Completed

Here is the completed piece. Lots of layers and delicious Art Anthology color and texture.

#1 In my Bucket List Layout

Hi there! Roxanne here with my last post for August!!! I can’t believe summer is over and back to school is here. So our theme for this post is “Bucket List.” It is not a hard one for me to achieve since I have always known what my #1 bucket list item is! There is this little island off the coast of Tahiti called Moorea.  And in Moorea they have this beautiful hotel called Sofitel. That’s my #1 Bucket List destination! I hope someday in this lifetime I get to visit this beautiful Island.  The picture on the layout is of one of the suites in Sofitel. AMAZING!!!

For this layout I only used two colors!IMG_1420

Check out How to Create This Beachie Layout by Roxanne Dondanville by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

If you look at this close-up of the layout you see the dimension that the Mud texture paste leaves. IMG_1431

Also, look at how cool the pattern that one of our Stackable stencils leaves on the paper! IMG_1429

I just love how it all blended together to form a very mixed media layout! IMG_1439

And I specially love how our products will work on any surface, from sea shells to paper to metal to plastic and glass!!!! IMG_1432

All to form a perfect easy layout! IMG_1437

IMG_1423I hope you enjoyed my blog post and my Snapguide tutorial on how to create this layout all by yourself!
