Collect Beautiful Moments by Toni

Hi everyone, Toni here with a new project. It’s springtime here in the U.S. one of my favorite times of the year, so I decided to create a butterfly canvas.  It was time to bust out the Sculpture Medium. I’ve been wanting to play with this for some time. Once my cheesecloth was completely dry it was stiff as a board and took to Art Anthology’s mediums and spray beautifully.

I think this will be a pretty addition to my altered canvases in my studio. I also utilized my new Paper Clay Moulds and created some of my own embellishments to enhance my canvas.

Wishing you a beautiful springtime and hoping you “Collect Beautiful Moments” along the way.

For your enjoyment I have including a Snapguide tutorial below for my step x step process.

Mixed media Christmas ornament

Hi there ! Valerie today to show you how to upcycle your old ornament with Art Anthology paints !

I have more than few of those old scratched ornament in my basement, and wanted to upgrade them for this Christmas, so I came up with an idea, and I will share it with you… I started with the ugly blue one on the picture and ended with the red on the back ! I made a video tutorial following the exact same techniques to make a white one… You will find the tutorial and the list of AA products at the end of this post.

The result is an incredible textured brand new ornament, and you can make in the color of your choice !

After applying gesso over the ornament, I use Dimensional paint in Stone effect to cover it, plus gelato and gold Fairy Dust. Flowers are covered with gold Metal Effect paint or Red Velvet Sorbet.

Here is the white and gold :

Boho Beauty

Hi all you crafty peeps… Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend ! My project today is a 12 x 12 layout of my daughter I recently took. Her outfit inspired me to give this layout a bohemian look. DSC08088

I used the Art Anthology paints to stamp my paisley prints for the backdrop, and Colorations & Fairy Dust Sprays to enhance the flowers as well as the background.

Means this was a boho style layout I had to do a little macrame weaving on this page. I have a full Snapguide tutorial below to show you how I created this weave effect on my page as well as how I customized my background paper with splashes of beautiful colors and shine.

The Metal Effects paints really provides that pretty metallic shine needed to enhance these flowers and frames. Once again, Art Anthology products always deliver the results needed to add that pazazz to your projects. I hope you were inspired to get our your jars and add some color to your projects. Creatively yours, TonitoniSIG

Summer Treasure Boxes

Hi everyone!

It’s Susanne writing today and I like to share my two treasure boxes I created for my kids to store their summer finds. I was inspired by a box I saw on pinterest. I loved the simple stamping and the thread as an embellishment.

The stamps are from Designs by Ryn.

Making Your Textures Pop with Art Anthology by Toni

Hi everyone… hope your are getting some special time to create this month. I recently moved and though it’s alot of work I really enjoy the fact that everything is neat and clean and now I get to decorate my new creative space. So I had this wooden pair of scissors… forever…. and decided it was time to alter them.

DSC07837

And here is my finished pair of scissors….. I think they will look perfect on my wall for my studio. DSC07905

The Mud Paste mixed with some craft sand created a yummy texture through my beautiful AA stencils. DSC07906

The Sorbets and Velvets add such a beautiful shimmer to the flowers and chipboard pieces. A coat of Crackle Varnish was add and seed beads for applied for just a bit more texture.

DSC07876

I love working with AA products, they are easy and blend with so many other products out there. On the flowers I applied mica powders and then the Sorbets on top, and then gave everything a spray with my Coloration Sprays… I had nice messy fingers at this point… lol

Here’s hoping that this has inspired you to go get creative with something and decorating your craft area. Until next time… Creatively yours, Toni toniSIG
