Cute little canvas with Daniëlle

Hi everyone!

Daniëlle here with a cute little canvas for you!

I used:

Colorations spray: Plush, Siesta key

Fairy Dust: Ice

Velvet: Tuxedo

Stencil: small lotus stencil

Sorbet: Cayman, Bella boo (purple color)

Clear coat: Linen

Here’s a little step by step tutorial, so you can create one yourself:

  1. My base consists of collage with a layer of clear gesso.

2. Next, add color with Colorations sprays and sparkle with Fairy Dust.

3. Add a little texture by applying some velvet through a stencil.

4. For the wings I used a little different technique. I applied Cayman Sorbet, let it dry for a bit and then wiped of the excess sorbet with a baby wipe to create a dreamy look. I applied clear coat linen on the whole wing for extra sparkle.

5. The final step is to put it all together, find an image and text you like. I decided my canvas needed extra sparkle so I added some sorbet to my canvas.

I hope you liked my little tutorial, see you next time!

Spring Art journal spread

Hello everyone !

March is the first month of Spring and I’m lucky enough to be in the South of U.S., so trees are blossoming and full of birds’ nests again (sorry for those under snow right now…). All this flowering inspired me to create my new art journal spread, using Colorations sprays, Velvet, Shine and Metal Effect…

With strips of asian journal paper over gessoed pages, I sprayed Peacock Feathers and Waimea bay Colorations to start my background.

Some round stamps and cherry blossom stamps in black complete this background, with few of the flowers colored with a white gel pen. I also added strokes of Cotton Velvet to add touches of light .

I used also the Floral Tile stencil with Gold Metal Effect medium before gluing cherry blossom branches (cut with a machine in white paper). The branches were painted in Onyx Shine and the flowers in Cotton Candy Velvet.

I finally added the journaling, written on a white paper strip and painted in Cotton Candy Velvet.

Wanna try art journaling but need a push ? Take a look at my video tutorial for some help with this design…

Thank for your time, and see you soon for another project…

This is what family looks like, by Marleen.

Hi Art Anthology Fans,

Art Anthology got NEW Colors!!
I’ve used 2 of them

Velvet: Beyond the Reef, Sorbet: Walnut. And the third color is the Colorations Sedona which we already have but matches perfectly with the Walnut.

A perfect combination to create something aged looking.

Then we also have NEW stencils!! I used this one:

*click the image to see more stencils*

So I started in my Art Journal but after finishing I saw that the video wasn’t good! 🙁

So a short description of what I did:
*Add pieces of old bookpaper to the page with gelmedium.
*wash the page with a little gesso and water.
*Add with the stencil Velvet Beyond the Reef and cotton(blend together).
*After drying put the stencil in the same spot and brush over the Sorbet Walnut.
* Take of the stencil and water the Sorbet, the pigments will spread.
*Sponge down all the edges with Sedona.
*The tag is done with the same stencil and Sedona.
*Spray(everything except the photo) with Fairy Dust Gilded Gold.
*Add splashes Minx Stargazer and Decadent.
* Finish it with splashes gesso.
