Simple Stenciled Mixed-Media Layout

Hey everyone! Suzanne here to share an easy mixed-media scrapbook layout using minimal supplies! With the aid of only one Art Anthology Stencil and Colorations Spray, this layout came together with very little effort!

Like most of my layouts, I begin with a piece of heavyweight cardstock. Using the Dot Matrix stencil, I randomly applied light molding paste through the stencil; this adds tone on tone texture to the background.

While the paste dries, I take my leaf cardstock die-cuts and simply give them a spritz of Colorations Spray. All that’s left is to assemble the photo and remaining print and cut die cuts to the dried stenciling!

Art Anthology Supplies:
Colorations Spray “Salmon”
Dot Matrix Stencil

Other Supplies:
White cardstock and patterned paper
cardstock die-cuts
sticker embellishments

Blossom: A Journal Page

Hello, With all that is going on I have been suffering from “artist block” lately. Everyone is self isolating (full house) and it is difficult getting work done peacefully. When I am lost for inspiration I try art journaling. This usually helps me free up and ideas start to flow again. It was a slow uphill battle but I managed to get a page done.

I made a warm and vibrant textured page using Art Anthology Dimensional Mediums. I then added texture paste and when dry, added some of the new Art Anthology gilders wax to the raised areas of my stenciled image.

Here are the supplies I used:

“Wonder” Stone Effects Art Journal Page

Hey everyone! Suzanne here to share a little art journal inspiration featuring Art Anthology’s Stone Effects! I could never find a way to put this picture of my daughter looking through a telescope onto a scrapbook page so I decided to do an art journal page instead!

I like to begin my journal page with a layer of modeling paste as opposed to gesso; it lends extra texture and weight to the page. After the paste dries, I add color using Velvet in “Beyond the Reef.”

I layer paint and modeling pasted until I’m satisfied with color and texture. Once the background is dry-I knew I wanted somewhat of a galaxy look, so I added Stone Effects in “Lava” and “Sandstone” and let dry. On top of the Stone Effects, I added Clear Coat in “Splashed” and “Dazzle” for added sparkle!

Next, I add Wax Paste in “German Silver” and “Bronze” which really adds to the look I’m trying to achieve! I add stamping with more color and modeling paste until I’m happy with the colors and texture. Here are some closeups of the finished page!

Art Anthology Supplies:
Velvet “Beyond the Reef”
Sorbet “Mermaid”
Clear Coat “Splashed and Dazzle”
Stone Effects “Lava and Sandstone”

Other Supplies:
art journal
modeling paste
chipboard embellishment, wire, fabric tulle, phrase stickers

Mixed Media Sea Tag

Hello Art Anthology Friends and Fans! Jenn here today sharing a fun mixed media tag with a Sea theme. I have used Art Anthology Colorations Sprays, Minx Shimmering Inks, and Stencil.

AA Colorations Sprays – Timeless, Siesta Key
AA Minx Shimmering Ink – Gold Dust
AA Stencil – Messy Bubbles

To create my tag, I first adhered a grungy style paper to it and roughed up the edges. I also inked the edges using a brown distress ink. Next, I added some texture paste through the messy Bubbles stencils and let it dry. I smeared some crackle paste here and there and let that dry as well

Next I added AA Colorations Sprays alternating between the colors and drying in between with my heat tool. I then added the amazing shimmer seen using Minx in Gold Dust!

I love how the color settles in all of the crackle paste adding texture!

To finish my tag, I added lots of sea elements using shells, chipboards, paper and art stones.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog and viewing my post today! I hope that you are inspired to create something today!
