Using Colorations Sprays from Art Anthology to create a camo canvas with Josefine

Hi everyone,

today I want to share a new canvas with you. I used the Colorations Sprays to create a camo looking background and I love it πŸ™‚

I used parts of the Lotus Stencil for the focal point in the background and to add some extra texture. By using the Minx inks to outline the Lotus flower it now looks like its shining even brighter.

I always like to add hidden interest to a project. The Dazzle paint is perfect for that as it dries clear and just leaves this amazing sparkle.

But now to the process. Here is my video that is showing how I put everything together. Enjoy πŸ™‚

These are the supplies I used:

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my little canvas πŸ™‚

Be in love with your life art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

I’m back with a new art journal page using the amazing Art Anthology Velvet paints, Colorations sprays and a few stencils. If you remember from my last post, I reorganized my craft room and while doing that I found a few scrap pieces of paper. I’m supper happy that I found them, because I immediately had some ideas for art journal pages.

I found some elegant ladies as rub-ons and wanted to create a fancy art journal page for one of them. You can watch the process in my new video. This time it doesn’t have a voice over, but it should be pretty much self-explanatory:

When I was done with adding color to my page, I thought it looked like an underwater scene. So I grabbed some sea horses and se stars that I had lying around and added them to the page.

Of course the page needed a sentiment and what fit better than the big Soliloquy stencil paired with some other phrases?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did creating it πŸ™‚

Art Journal Page with Josefine

The world is my playground art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

today I wanted to create a blue colored page. Not because I felt blue, but because the current mood board has so many pretty blue shades. I skipped the orange and replaced with some rust though.

A few days ago I reorganized my craft room and found a couple of scraps that I really wanted to incorporate somehow. So I decided to paint a blue background, add some texture and then use the scraps for this page.

I love that it is so simple to create a nicely blended background with the art Anthology paints. It always looks like I know what I’m doing πŸ˜›

Halloween Canvas

Ooozing eyeballs Halloween canvas with Josefine

How about a mixed media Halloween canvas with oozing eyeballs and poison paste? Art Anthology products are perfect for drippy backgrounds and thick texture alike. And it’s still enough time to create some more spooky things – despite all the Christmas decoration that is already up in my grocery store.

I’m a fan of these smaller, card sized projects and love to decorate a canvas like that. The smaller area makes it easier to get started, but also challenges you to “organize” your space better. So let me show you what I did with this little canvas.

And? Oozing enough? πŸ˜›
I’m impressed with the stone effect paste. Even though I mixed with one of the Sorbet’s it dried in a neat texture.

Mermaid art journal with Art Anthology

Mermaid art journal with Josefine

Hi, Josefine is back with a new art journal page. This time I wanted to test how the Velvet paints react on a black surface. As you might know the Velvet paints are translucent so I was hoping for a fun effect and I was not disappointed.

My tutorial video shows exactly how I added the colors to the black background and what I did to create the ocean scene for the little mermaid.

I hope you enjoyed my art journal page and feel inspired to get your own paints out πŸ™‚

Halloween Card with Art Anthology

Halloween Cards with Josefine

Hi, this is Josefine. Welcome back to a new project. Halloween is right around the corner and it’s about time to grab all the spooky colors from Art Anthology and get creative.

I used all the purples, oranges and greens from my Colorations Sprays and paired them with the Velvet paint in the same colors. My goal was to create quite a few Halloween cards, so I kind of got into a flow once I started. It’s easy to spray ink in several shades onto water color paper and let it dry and do its magic.

Of course there is a little more to it than “just” spraying the ink onto paper, but that is definitely the most fun part πŸ˜‰
Here is my video tutorial for you that shows you all the steps for my spooky Halloween cards.

I love the vibrant colors and how amazing the backgrounds turned out! It always surprises me how different a background looks like when you let the ink dry vs heat setting it. Sometimes patience is worth it πŸ˜€

Creating cards with Colorations Sprays from Art Anthology

Using Colorations Spray Differently with Josefine

Hi, Josefine here, with two colorful cards that I created using the Colorations Sprays in a different way. I really enjoy the Art Anthology Colorations Sprays. They are so vibrant and yummy. That’s why I was wondering, if I could use them for more than “just” spraying the ink onto something.

And I love the effect and how the cards turned out!

But back to the beginning and what I actually did. I didn’t want to create a huge mess, so I used some pipettes to get the ink out of the bottles and onto my craft mat. From there it was easy to dab my paper into the ink and create this splattered background. But see for yourself how I did it:

So, what do you think? Worth creating some more cards using this technique?

Make a wish art journal page with Art Anthology

Make a wish art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

I’m in an art journal mood at the moment and just had to create a page with some of the Art Anthology Velvet paints. I picked all the yellows, oranges and reds that I had and started painting.

I usually don’t worry too much about techniques or guidelines when creating a project. I love “just trying” and then see what works and what not. So when I started with this page I didn’t really know where I wanted to go with it, till I realized that I’m adding quite a few stars.

The rest then just happened and I really enjoy how it turned out πŸ™‚

Wooden wall hanger

Wooden wall hanger with Josefine

Hi and welcome back!

Today I’m sharing a small project with you using a piece of birch wood and Art Anthology paints to create a wall hanger. Even though it’s a small piece of art, I had a lot of fun creating it!

I prepared a video tutorial for you, showing you how I created the image on the birch wood:

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial πŸ™‚

Do you ever paint on wood? I love how the Art Anthology paints turn out! They have a very distinct sheen to them. It’s hard to explain, but I encourage you to give it a try and see for yourself πŸ™‚

Wood Canvas with 3D Bird Nest

Hi everyone πŸ™‚

today I’m sharing a 3D canvas with you. I found this bird in the home decor section and just had to pair it with Art Anthology paints, sprays and inks. It is incredible that you can use the same paint as the base, for dimension and as finishing touches. It always surprises me how they turn out and that it just works.

For this canvas I decided to pick a green color base. This way the wood canvas is the tree and the green color is representing the leaves (or similar :P).

So I started with prepping the surface with different shades of green. Then I adhered the nest and added several gold shimmer effects. But see for yourself:

What do you think? Did the bird get a nice and shiny home or should she move? πŸ˜‰
