Halloween Card with Art Anthology

Halloween Cards with Josefine

Hi, this is Josefine. Welcome back to a new project. Halloween is right around the corner and it’s about time to grab all the spooky colors from Art Anthology and get creative.

I used all the purples, oranges and greens from my Colorations Sprays and paired them with the Velvet paint in the same colors. My goal was to create quite a few Halloween cards, so I kind of got into a flow once I started. It’s easy to spray ink in several shades onto water color paper and let it dry and do its magic.

Of course there is a little more to it than “just” spraying the ink onto paper, but that is definitely the most fun part 😉
Here is my video tutorial for you that shows you all the steps for my spooky Halloween cards.

I love the vibrant colors and how amazing the backgrounds turned out! It always surprises me how different a background looks like when you let the ink dry vs heat setting it. Sometimes patience is worth it 😀

Creating cards with Colorations Sprays from Art Anthology

Using Colorations Spray Differently with Josefine

Hi, Josefine here, with two colorful cards that I created using the Colorations Sprays in a different way. I really enjoy the Art Anthology Colorations Sprays. They are so vibrant and yummy. That’s why I was wondering, if I could use them for more than “just” spraying the ink onto something.

And I love the effect and how the cards turned out!

But back to the beginning and what I actually did. I didn’t want to create a huge mess, so I used some pipettes to get the ink out of the bottles and onto my craft mat. From there it was easy to dab my paper into the ink and create this splattered background. But see for yourself how I did it:

So, what do you think? Worth creating some more cards using this technique?

Make a wish art journal page with Art Anthology

Make a wish art journal page with Josefine

Hi everyone,

I’m in an art journal mood at the moment and just had to create a page with some of the Art Anthology Velvet paints. I picked all the yellows, oranges and reds that I had and started painting.

I usually don’t worry too much about techniques or guidelines when creating a project. I love “just trying” and then see what works and what not. So when I started with this page I didn’t really know where I wanted to go with it, till I realized that I’m adding quite a few stars.

The rest then just happened and I really enjoy how it turned out 🙂

Wooden wall hanger

Wooden wall hanger with Josefine

Hi and welcome back!

Today I’m sharing a small project with you using a piece of birch wood and Art Anthology paints to create a wall hanger. Even though it’s a small piece of art, I had a lot of fun creating it!

I prepared a video tutorial for you, showing you how I created the image on the birch wood:

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial 🙂

Do you ever paint on wood? I love how the Art Anthology paints turn out! They have a very distinct sheen to them. It’s hard to explain, but I encourage you to give it a try and see for yourself 🙂

Wood Canvas with 3D Bird Nest

Hi everyone 🙂

today I’m sharing a 3D canvas with you. I found this bird in the home decor section and just had to pair it with Art Anthology paints, sprays and inks. It is incredible that you can use the same paint as the base, for dimension and as finishing touches. It always surprises me how they turn out and that it just works.

For this canvas I decided to pick a green color base. This way the wood canvas is the tree and the green color is representing the leaves (or similar :P).

So I started with prepping the surface with different shades of green. Then I adhered the nest and added several gold shimmer effects. But see for yourself:

What do you think? Did the bird get a nice and shiny home or should she move? 😉

Mixed media card with Art Anthology and Gel Press

Mono Printed Mixed Media Cards with Art Anthology by Josefine

Hi everyone,

I’m Josefine, the new design team member for Art Anthology. You have no idea how excited I am to join this amazing team! I’m using Art Anthology paints and stencils for a while now and my local craft store, Scrapbooking Forever in California, originally introduced me to them.

For my first project I decided to create a couple of cards using Sorbet and Velvet paints and my favorite stencils.

This project is featuring the mono printing technique. I thought it would be fun to try out the dimensional paints on my Gel Press – and I think it turned out pretty nice. Have you ever tried mono printing with Art Anthology paints?

I thought that it might be easier to follow the process with a video, so I created a quick tutorial for you:

I love mono printing, because you can create a bunch of backgrounds very fast and it’s hard to stop. I usually have to when my floor is covered in paper, lol.

Here are a few more pictures. You can click on them to enlarge them.

I hope you enjoyed my first project for Art Anthology. I’m super excited to try even more techniques with these versatile paints and share them with you!
